Bourjois Air Mat Foundation

Oh Bourjois. How I love your foundations. The new Air Mat being no exception.

I recently mentioned this in my December Favourites and decided it needed its own post.

I picked this up a few weeks ago after running out of MAC Face and Body, it was around £10 (it´s usually on 3 for 2 though so keep an eye out). 

I use my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend this in and I absolutely love the finish. It´s a super lightweight foundation which feels like you´re not wearing foundation at all. It gives a beautiful coverage, I´d say light but can easily be built into a medium finish. 

I opted for shade 01, Rose Ivory which is a perfect match for my pale Winter skin. 

Although the name suggests this is a ´Matte´foundation, it is not at all drying on my skin and leaves it looking healthy and fresh. 

I´m pretty sure I will be repurchasing this foundation as soon as I run out.

Rimmel BB Cream

If you know me at all, you will know that I am not a huge fan of heavy foundations of anything of the sort on my face. I much prefer the lighter coverage foundations, BB creams and tinted moisturisers.

One in particular that I have been loving lately is the Rimmel BB Cream, not only is it matte on the skin (great for you oily girls), but it also has SPF 15 in it, which is great in the colder weather. 

I think it's going to be a staple this winter for me, it's so wearable and looks so even and fresh on the skin! 

If you like to build it up, try using this underneath your foundation as a base, it's so light you wont even know it's there.

Hi! So it's been a while since I've done a monthly favourites post, it was difficult narrowing this down to just a few as there's been so many that I've been loving lately.

The Body Shop - Camomile Cleansing Oil

The quickest and most fool proof way to remove your male up, even eye make up.

Perfect for lazy people like me, doesn't make your skin feel greasy and does the job. Cheap and cheerful too. What's not to love?

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

After using the Expert Face Brush to apply foundation for as long as I can remember, the Buffing Brush came as such a pleasant surprise. Blends and buffs foundation in perfectly, also great for pressing on powder. Dreamy.

MAC Face and Body Foundation

A foundation I have wanted for a long time and heard countless rave reviews. I was not disappointed. The perfect go to foundation. Blends like a dream, glides on, does not cling to dry patches, looks natural, I could go on. I haven't used anything else since buying it. I am in love.

The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Body Butter

We all know how great the Body Shop body butters are, the scents and the actual moisturiser itself. The smell of this one though is incredible. Think Fromage Frais? I could sniff this all day. Probably one of my favourites so far.

Benefit Coralista Lipgloss

I got this as a sample size a while ago and kinda forgot about it until recently, I have found myself reaching for it more and more. It's the perfect glossy natural lip, it has a hint of coral and also looks great layered with my orange or coral lipsticks. It also smells great.

Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray

Speaking of scents, this scent is also lovely, I get a lot of hair smelling compliments when I spray this in my hair. I also love how easy and quick it is to use, I've always been fairly lazy when it comes to heat defence, but this has made it a two second job, and for that, me and my hair are grateful.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

I'm the first to admit that I can be quite fussy when it comes to foundation.... 

I'm always trying out new ones to try and find one that I love, whether it's drugstore or high end.

I recently picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in Boots as a bit of a spur of the moment purchase and decided I'd test it out.

The thing with this product is that their is no unique selling point... there is nothing that differentiates this from other foundations, no wow factor. It doesn't make any bold claims, it just is how it comes.

I found this product, nice. It blends well, sits nicely on the skin and the shade is a good match for me, however I just wasn't blown away. I really found nothing special about it, it lasted a normal amount of time, was kind of medium coverage and wasn't cakey, so for drugstore I'd say it was a good one, but I definitely think you can pick up better ones at the same price.

Overall, I was satisfied, not impressed or not impressed. It does the job and that's all I expect from this.

Nivea Tinted Moisturiser

Currently half price at Boots! 

I love tinted moisturiser. I think it's a genius invention. For in the summer when make up is just too much on the skin or just on days when you don't want a whole lot of coverage and stuff on your face. Tinted moisturiser is great.

I picked up this Nivea one last summer and I have recently rediscovered it. 

I love Nivea products, I've used their creams and lotions for years and I've always liked them. When I was hunting for a cheap tinted moisturiser on a summers day last year because wearing foundation was unbearable I didn't really know much about this one but I thought I'd give it a go.

The first thing you notice is the very distinct Nivea smell, I personally love it. The product also has SPF in it which is obviously a bonus. The product is self applies beautifully and actually has a nice amount of coverage. The colour is quite dark on me but with blending is looks natural but glowy.

I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for an affordable tinted moisturiser, let me know if you have tried this?

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

 Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (53 Light Beige) 

When I got back from holiday I needed a foundation that was a shade or two darker than the one I had been using, and I had heard lots about this one being good for dry skin so I thought I'd give it a try.

Before this, I had never used a Bourjois foundation, and was pleasantly surprised.

I've been using this now for over a month, and can finally report back my thoughts.

With my skin properly prepped this is a great foundation for my skin, it blends nicely and it leaves me glowing in all the right places without making me look too shiny.

The colour is also a perfect match for my skin.

The coverage is light to medium, I think you can build it up but for everyday I like a light foundation.

I always struggle when it comes to finding a good foundation for my overly difficult dry skin, but I think I have found a keeper and I will most likely be repurchasing this in the future.
