Would You Rather? - Beauty Edition

1) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras/eyeliners/lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
This is tricky, because I have way more lipsticks and eyeliners than palettes and eyeshadows but most of my palettes were gifts so have a more sentimental value... that being said, I use lipstick/mascara and eyeliner way more and those would be much harder to replace as I have a lot more so I´d probably have to ditch the eyeshadows and hope my friends and family would treat me on my next birthday :)

2) Would you rather chop off all of your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I´d probably say never cut it again. I know that if I chopped it all off it would grow back pretty quickly and then I could style it however I wanted, but I don´t think I´d ever have the guts to chop it all off!

3) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Coral, definitely!

4) If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make up?
I would have to say clothes, as much as I love make up!

5) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Tricky, probably eyeliner as lipstick, not only would it be much easier to apply but I am sure there are some nice brown eyeliners that would look quite good on the lips!

6) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Even though there are no Sephora stores in the UK I would definitely choose Sephora, much more choice

7) Would you rather use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Eek! This is difficult but probably one eye colour, I could probably go for a simple brown on my eyes and they always mix up my lip colour..

8) Would you rather wear Winter clothes in the Summer, or Summer clothes in the Winter?
Neither! But if I HAD to choose maybe Winter clothes in the Summer, I hate being cold more than I hate being hot.

9) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright!

10) Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eyeshadow product?
Probably my favourite lip product as I have several that I also love!

11) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or in a messy bun?
Ponytail, I haven´t quite mastered how to rock a messy bun and actually look nice yet..

12) Would you rather never be able to paint your nails or never wear lipgloss again?
Never wear lipgloss, I have quite a few super hydrating lip balms that almost give a glossy effect, I also love getting my nails done too much!

13) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or  sharpie them in everyday?
Oh come on! How can somebody choose!
Again, if I HAD to probably sharpie them in and hope that I can pull it off!

14) Would you rather live without make up or nail polish?
Nail polish, I love make up too much!

What´s in my Bag? (2016)

I´m pretty sure this is my second or maybe even third ´What´s in my bag´post on here, but as I love reading them I thought I´d do a little updated one. Although my bag is definitely the same as the previous post a few things have changed.

(Left to right)
My iPhone (Yes I still have an iPhone 4S!). Carex hand sanitiser (I get through one a month). My 2016 diary - this one is from Ryman. Portable iPhone charger and cable - I bought both of these from Primark last year and they have changed my life. Tissues - this is a random brand I think I found them in an old handbag, but I always carry tissues, especially in the colder months. My Oyster - I used to have a really nice card carrier, but I got really drunk a few months ago and lost it, along with my ID and oyster! My bag of neccessities - I explain what is in here below... My card purse - this is basically full of every loyalty card that ever existed! A snack - Of course, I´m always hungry and have been loving snacked on these honey seeds (they taste better than they sound).

As well as all of my basic everyday things that I carry around with me I carry a little pouch with things I use for emergencies, make up tops etc.
I carry them around in a dark green make up bag which I picked up from Mango last month..

(Left to right)
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold - I carry this around for the mirror, not for topping up my blusher on the go. Revlon Super Natural - One of my all time favourite nude lip glosses. A wet wipe - nobody wants sticky hands. Soap and Glory Hand Food - I always have hand cream in my bag and this one smells great. Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic - Another nude lip gloss... just in case. Soothing eye drops for itchy eyes - I use these mostly in the summer because I get the worst hayfever, but recently I went to my friends house and had such itchy eyes from playing with her cat so now I always carry a bottle in case of emergency. Travalo - So much easier than carrying a full bottle of perfume. Carmex - for obvious reasons. Chapstick - again, obvious reasons. One mento - I do usually always have mints or chewing gum, on this day I was obviously running low. A bobble/hairgrip - I actually have never needed these, but you never know. Two eyeliners - I don´t know why I need two nude lipglosses and two lipbalms either, I just do. Cold and flu tablets - it´s winter...

Phew. Such a small bag, so much stuff.

The Beauty Scenario Tag

1. You have to get rid of all of your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
For drugstore I would definitely have to choose the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation, I have loved this foundation for about a year and a half and I reach for it constantly, it has a gorgeous dewy, radiant finish and the lasting power is great for a high street foundation.
For high end I would have to choose Mac Face and Body foundation, I bought this last summer and I fell in love. It's the perfect low coverage foundation that looks perfect for both every day and evening make up, the consistency makes it easy to blend and the finish is lovely.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
I would definitely ignore it completely! I'm rubbish at confrontation and would hate to embarrass her because if I did she probably wouldn't want to face me again, and therefore wouldn't hire me.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up.
Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
I would go for the Bella Pierre Cosmetics lipstick in Ruby, it is probably my favourite red lipstick in my whole collection, and who doesn't feel instantly glam when wearing a red lip?
It's a gorgeous colour and lasts all night long without any touch ups.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and make up differently?
I'm gonna say that I go back to my 13-16 year old self rather than my later teens as I'm only 22.
In terms of hair in my early teens I would definitely not try to rock the slicked back pony tail with the two strands of hair! Or the scrunched with mousse curly hair! Ew!
In terms of make up I barely wore any, when I was 14 I stopped wearing foundation for a whole year and started to moisturise every single day so I can't remember any really bad make up days!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hait cut, but they hear you wrong and give you a pixi cut.
Do you:
A) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mom hysterical
B) Cry in the chair and things get awkward
C) Complain to the manager and demand a refund
Eek! Kind of a bit of all three, except for the demanding a refund part. I would probably awkwardly smile and politely tell them that it wasn't what I asked for and then go home and cry and probably invest in extensions!

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have one hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your make up bag?
I would probably go for my Laura Mercier Palette for Eyes, Cheeks and Lips.
It's such a wearable compact palate, and other than foundation, eyeliner and mascara I would happily only take this with me. The lip colour is gorgeous, the 4 eyeshadow shades can create both a day time and an evening look and the blushes are beautiful! What more could I need!?

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?
This question was really difficult! As I love everything, however, only a few products have sentimental value, the Naked 2 palette being one of them. It's something I've wanted for so long but have never really plucked up the courage to purchase it for myself, however, my mom got it for me for my 22nd birthday and I am obsessed. The colours are gorgeous, and so long lasting and pigmented, I am in love.

8. Your friend borrows your make up and returns it in awful condition.
Do you:
A) Just pretend you haven't noticed
B) Ask them to repurchase it
C) Secretly do the same to something of theirs
It would definitely depend on the extent of the damage and how much I liked the product, I would never ask them to repurchase it or do the same to theirs, but if the damage was really bad and it was an expensive or valuable product I would probably politely tell mention it.

Thanks so much for reading guys, I hope you're all having a great Sunday, feel free to do this Tag too!

New MAC Lipsticks

Mac Syrup & Coral Bliss (L-R)

Since my first MAC purchases around a year ago, I haven't been able to help myself occasionally to a few bits and bobs from time to time and living so close to a MAC store certainly doesn't help!
I recently popped in for a browse and came out with these two beauties!
Syrup is a shade I'd had my sights on for a while, a perfect every day neutral colour that looks perfect on my pale skin tone. Coral Bliss was much more of an impulse buy but just as beautiful nonetheless, I'm sure this will be my go-to shade throughout summer.

Mini 'Boots Points' Haul

Am I the only one who spends my Boots points as soon as I accumulate them?
For some reason I just can't seem to save them!
I recently had around £20 on my card and as I was trying to limit myself buying make up I kind of justified it as 'free make up'... but really it's just a problem and I always need new lipstick!

I only picked up a few things and some extras (cotton pads ect.) in the trip but I thought I'd show you anyway.

I picked up two lipsticks, 111 in the Rimmel Kate Moss collection, which I'm sure everybody already owns but I was slightly late on the bandwagon. It's beautiful.
I also picked up a random purchase, the only other product I've tried from Collection (since being an adult) is the Lasting Perfection concealer, which I'm afraid to say, I didn't like. But they had recently launched a new 'deluxe' lipstick collection which I'd heard good things about. I picked up the shade 'Charleston' and I absolutely love it, it's kind of a browny nude but the formula is so creamy and nice to wear it feels like a balm!
I also picked up the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in Bronze after hearing great things and loving the black one so much.... I was slightly disappointed, I've tried wearing this on both my waterline and my upper lash line, but it just doesn't seem to look nice on either! It's a little too shimmery for my liking.

And that is all.... are you a Boots card spender or saver?

Topshop Gloss Ink

After hearing rave reviews about the new Topshop Gloss Ink lip glosses I decided to try one out. I picked up the most wearable (in my opinion) of the selection and when I got to the counter the girl serving me told me that the product is great and lasts all day.

I was not impressed. After hearing such positive reviews I thought this would be something  would love, however the product was quite thick and a little sticky for my liking, as well as barely lasting half an hour on me. I'm not sure if it's because I picked up a neutral shade or if the great reviews are just based on the bold lip colours but this was really nothing to rave about.
Have you tried any of these? Is it worth me trying out more?

Birthday Beauty Haul

So it was my birthday on Saturday, so of course I had to pick up a few things!
Alongside clothing, I got a few beauty treats from Boots, Topshop and Accessorize.
I will be posting reviews on a few of these things, so keep your eyes peeled :)

Have a lovely day!

Get to Know me Tag!

Before I begin I just wanted to draw attention to the fact that this Blog recently hit 500 Bloglovin Followers! I just wanted to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who has commented or followed this blog, your support means so much to me!
This Tag is a fun way of letting you know a little bit about me, but I warn you it's quite a long one. Enjoy.

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Neither. My hair can never make its mind up what it wants to be. If I blow dry it, then it's straight. If I sleep with it wet it's super curly and if I just leave it to air dry then it's frizzy. The joys.

2. Do you dye your hair yourself or do you go to a salon?
I used to dye my hair a lot myself when I was younger, then I had like a two year break then on my last birthday one of my presents from my boyfriend was a hair salon trip, I had them dye it and didn't like it too much, it sadly costed my boyfriend £300! Since then I have done my own ombre twice using Loreal's Ombre Kit.

3. Do you wear your hair in the same style everyday or change it?
I mostly just leave it down and au natural. Especially in the summer. I change it up sometimes and will straighten it or curl it, or plait it. It depends on my mood and where I'm going.

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
Luckily for me my sister is a professional nail technician and my boyfriend has a nail salon (he doesn't do nails, just owns it)! So since I can remember I've had my nails done professionally by my sister wherever she has been working.

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
It depends, I get Shellac a lot because I hate chipped nails, so if I get Shellac then once every 1-2 weeks. If not then twice a week.

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just in the summer?
As much as I try not to put polish on my feet in the winter, I simply can't stand feet without polish! So unfortunately I do it all year round.

7. How long does it take you to put your make up on?
It depends where I'm going and how long I have, but roughly around 15 minutes, sometimes it can be longer, sometimes quicker if I'm in a rush.

8. What do you do first face or eyes?
I always apply foundation and concealer first then eyes, sometimes I do bronzer, blusher or powder before or after, depends on what I'm doing.

9. Do you collect make up or just buy it when you need it?
Collect. Shamefully. Some things I do try to only buy when I need them like primer and foundation, but somehow I still end up with several at a time.

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Fun fact: I have never actually wore them.
I have pretty long lashes anyway and I'm not a fan of anything looking too fake on my face. I probably will experiment with them at some point, but as of now I've never felt the need to.

11. Do you do a full face of make up every day?
Nope. If I have nothing to do or nowhere to be then I don't wear make up or I'll wear a little bit. Typically eyeliner and lip balm.

12. Do you wear make up when your home alone or with the family?
Usually no. However sometimes I just like to put it on, I really enjoy applying make up, so if I'm with family indoors for a few days and I haven't wore any for a few days then I just will for the sake of it.

13. Will you leave the house without make up?
Yes, and I do quite often. However, like I said, I just like to apply it and where it, so I sometimes just will even to pop to the shop.

14. How many high end products do you have?
I don't own too many high end products, I love drug store make up, however this year I'm going to branch out and splurge on more high end make up.

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
If I have a party or something on then I will try to figure it out ahead of time, but for day to day life, I just choose when I'm getting dressed.

16. How often do you change your handbag?
Not very often. I have a few handbags, I tend to buy a new one every 3-4 months, I switch up my day to day bag between a big one and a small shoulder bag quite often depending on where I'm going.

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
This changes constantly! Lately I've been going to sleep around 1am and waking up around 11am. I need lots of sleep or I'm grumpy!

18. How often or when do you work out?
Lately I've been trying to work out more, aiming to do it 3-4 times a week. I work out typically in the afternoon or evening, I don't have much energy in the morning.

19. Left or right handed?
Left.

20. How tall are you?
5"6 exactly.

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Nope! I can say I love you in about 5 languages ha! I studied French for two years but I only know a handful of words. I know a few words in different languages but not enough to string a sentence together :( my boyfriend is Vietnamese so I also know quite a few words in that language. I would love to learn a language!

22. How many pets do you have?
None :( we had a cat, but we don't have her anymore due to a long story! Hopefully we can get another soon :(

23. How often are you on Blogger?
Everyday. I don't blog everyday but I'm here every day.

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
I don't typically read comments on other people's blogs. But I read every comment on my own.

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yes, I have a five page list in my notebook...oops!

26. How did you come up with your blog name?
I have no idea. It doesn't serve much meaning, I just quickly choose something.

27. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?
I use a Nikon Coolpix S9200. It was a gift from my boyfriend for last year's birthday and I love it.

28. How often do you clean your house?
I'm currently in between places as I'm moving next week. But usually every day because we have a small place.

29. What's your favourite colour?
I don't have one. I love any pastel colour. In fact I like most colours...

30. Do you swear?
More than I should.

31. What are you doing with the rest of the day?
Probably take some pictures for upcoming blog posts, workout, watch a few episodes of revenge and eat.

Well that was pretty long, feel free to do the tag too! And let me know if you do so I can have a read! Have a lovely day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope you're all recovering well from last night's antics and embracing your first day of 2014. (I say this as I sit here still in my pyjamas eating a Terry's Chocolate Orange)

A new year means a fresh slate, to life and to blogging.
That means lots of fresh and exciting material for you all.
So what can you expect from the me for the new year?
I have many ideas floating around for blog posts/ideas and features.

Fitness updates, of course. I know for the new year probably most of you will have some kind of health/fitness related kind of resolutions. So expect some updates about all things health.

Cooking, this year I would like to get into cooking and baking more so expect some exciting and yummy recipes.

More reviews, (any excuse for me to do more shopping!)

Features, my brain is constantly generating new ideas for features on here, but if you have any suggestions for a feature you would like to see then let me know.

Hopefully an exciting hear ahead, let Mr know if there's anything you'd like to see on my blog and I'll get working on it.
In the meantime, enjoy your day off and have a great new year :)

Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG!

Steering away from product reviews and hauls I found a beauty tag and thought it'd be quite fun and would help you get to know a little bit more about me. Enjoy.

1) Name a beauty regime you rarely do...
This was fairly easy for me because I'm constantly telling myself off about it, but I don't moisturise my body enough. I'm just too lazy to do it then wait for it to dry and I just can never be bothered with it. I'm constantly looking for products to solve this problem and have started using both the Nivea in shower moisturiser and the Vaseline Spray and Go moisturiser and have been using these frequently. But I should probably just start doing it properly.

2) Is washing your make up brushes something that you do regularly?
I do wash my make up brushes regularly, probably not as regularly as I should but I do, do it. I probably give them a deep clean once a week depending on how much I use them. My skin isn't prone to spots and stuff but I like to be sanitary anyway.

3) How long will you last in chipped nail polish?
If you know me at all you will know that I like my nails to look nice at all times.
My sister has done nails for around 8 years and practiced on me back when I was around 12, so I've always had my nails done professionally. Now I currently work part time in my boyfriend's parents shop so I get weekly manicures and pedicures. I get Shellac quite often because I hate chipped nail polish, but if I'm not wearing Shellac and my nails chip then I will take all of the polish off and wear nothing. I hate chipped nails!

4) How long will you put off buying/replacing a product, even if you need it?
If I'm almost out of a product I use daily then I try to buy it about a week before it's going to run out just so I don't need to worry and ration myself.
If it's buying a product I want, it depends what it is, the price and when I have spare money. I tend to buy a few products each week.

5) What is your worst beauty habit?
Picking at spots, I probably get one spot a month and I just can't help but pick them! I know this is terrible for my skin and does leave marks, but I just can't help myself! Tell me I'm not alone :(

6) Name something non beauty related that you put off doing all the time...
Cleaning my room and doing laundry, I'm not a dirty person by any means, I'm just messy and I don't really like cleaning. Occasionally I get in the mood to clean and can clean for hours, but that mood doesn't come around too often.

7) When going somewhere, do you leave getting ready till the last minute?
If it's the morning and I have to be out early, then yes, the extra time in bed always wins over looking good. However if I have somewhere to be in the evening or afternoon then no, I tend to allot myself 30 minutes to an hour depending on where I'm going.

8) Can you commit to spending bans?
No. I'm terrible at saving, if I have money and see something I like, I buy it. It's a bad habit but I've always been that way.

9) How organised are your make up and nail polish collections?
Like I said earlier I always get my nails done professionally, so  doing actually own too many nail polishes, I probably have around 20 that I keep in a small storage box.
As for make up I currently have everything organised by category (lipsticks, eyeliner, blushers) and it works for me. My make up collection is however forever growing so this won't last forever.

Hope you enjoyed this, if you do this tag let me know, and have a great day.

Autumn Make up Haul

I have to say Autumn I'd definitley my favourite time of year when it comes to make up. I love darker lips and sparkly eye make up! So now here in England we are now officially in Autumn I have been searching the drugstore for some new make up (of course) and may have picked up a few things!

"Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo - 35 - On and On Bronze"
I've heard loads about this product but I always forgot to pick it up whenever I was shopping, however I remembered it a few days ago and picked it up and I love it! It's perfect for this time of year and will look great on any eye colour!

"Revlon Colorstay - 505 - Decadent"
On the subject of eyes this Revlon eyeshadow quad is perfect for Autumn and Winter! They are all wearable shades and the gold colour will look great for Christmas time!

"Sleek blush - 926 - Rose Gold"
I'm a huge Sleek fan so I don't know why I was so late on the bandwagon with this one! It's beautiful and the gold doesn't make you look like a glittery goddess, it just adds a perfect glow to your face and the rose colour really warms up your complexion! I love this product!

"Rimmel Colour Rush - 700 - Not an Illusion
If you read this blog, it's no secret I am a huge fan of lip crayons! They're so easy to apply and super hydrating! The new Rimmel ones are no different! This shade is a dark red/brown colour which I tend to wear a lot in the colder months as they suit my pale skin nicely!

"Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss - 225 - Berry Allure"
Berry lips are so in right now and I love them! They look great on any skin tone! I picked up this lip gloss a few days ago and can't get enough of it! Once the gloss fades it still leaves a gorgeous berry colour on your lips, definitley a winner for me!

"NYC Ultra Last Lipstick - 417 - Flirty"
This lipstick is what I think of when I think of Autumn, it's a really dark pink/plum colour that suits pale skin and rosy cheeks perfectly! I wear so many colours like this, this time of year and I love it!

"Calvin Klein Delicious Luxury Creme Lipstick - 31127 - Cosmopolitan"
Think red lipstick but more subtle and easier to wear. This is brilliant for lazy days when you don't want to wear much but you still want to look 'done'. It's red but not too red and great again on paler skin.

Mini Mac Haul

As of last week I was a MAC virgin.
I've tried many high make up brands, including Chanel, YSL and Clinique, but I've never had a MAC store anywhere near me and when I do go past one I never really have time to venture in.

However, while out for lunch on Kings Road on Sunday I spotted MAC and thought I'd pop in and have a look round.
I very, nearly bought the whole shop! But I limited myself to three things, and without further ado, my first MAC purchases...

MAC Cleanse off oil - (travel size) £7.50
I picked this up as I was about to pay, I opted for the travel size as I thought I'd give it a try before getting the full size. I used it the following night and my skin had never felt so smooth and clean! Will most likely be popping back soon to purchase the full size.

MAC - Studio Fix Fluid - £20.50
I've almost ran out of my current foundation and having heard several people rave about this product, I decided to give it a go. I'm yet to try it, but perhaps a review will be coming soon.

MAC lipstick - Hot Gossip - £14.00
As a lipstick fanatic of course I wanted almost all of them (and trust me, I will be returning regularly to build my collection) but to start with, I wanted something wearable and that I knew I would love. The colour is very similar to one of my current favourites by Rimmel (Vintage Pink), so I knew I had to get it.

I may go back next week and pick up some more treats, are there any great and famous MAC products you'd recommend?
