What´s in my Bag? (2016)

I´m pretty sure this is my second or maybe even third ´What´s in my bag´post on here, but as I love reading them I thought I´d do a little updated one. Although my bag is definitely the same as the previous post a few things have changed.

(Left to right)
My iPhone (Yes I still have an iPhone 4S!). Carex hand sanitiser (I get through one a month). My 2016 diary - this one is from Ryman. Portable iPhone charger and cable - I bought both of these from Primark last year and they have changed my life. Tissues - this is a random brand I think I found them in an old handbag, but I always carry tissues, especially in the colder months. My Oyster - I used to have a really nice card carrier, but I got really drunk a few months ago and lost it, along with my ID and oyster! My bag of neccessities - I explain what is in here below... My card purse - this is basically full of every loyalty card that ever existed! A snack - Of course, I´m always hungry and have been loving snacked on these honey seeds (they taste better than they sound).

As well as all of my basic everyday things that I carry around with me I carry a little pouch with things I use for emergencies, make up tops etc.
I carry them around in a dark green make up bag which I picked up from Mango last month..

(Left to right)
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold - I carry this around for the mirror, not for topping up my blusher on the go. Revlon Super Natural - One of my all time favourite nude lip glosses. A wet wipe - nobody wants sticky hands. Soap and Glory Hand Food - I always have hand cream in my bag and this one smells great. Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic - Another nude lip gloss... just in case. Soothing eye drops for itchy eyes - I use these mostly in the summer because I get the worst hayfever, but recently I went to my friends house and had such itchy eyes from playing with her cat so now I always carry a bottle in case of emergency. Travalo - So much easier than carrying a full bottle of perfume. Carmex - for obvious reasons. Chapstick - again, obvious reasons. One mento - I do usually always have mints or chewing gum, on this day I was obviously running low. A bobble/hairgrip - I actually have never needed these, but you never know. Two eyeliners - I don´t know why I need two nude lipglosses and two lipbalms either, I just do. Cold and flu tablets - it´s winter...

Phew. Such a small bag, so much stuff.

Soap and Glory Skincare

One thing I am constantly on the hunt for is good skincare... I feel like no matter how much water I drink or how much I moisturise my skin it's still super dry... so whilst in Boots the other day I spotted these little beauties.
Soap and Glory Scrubatomic and 365 For Daily Youth, a face scrub and a moisturiser.

Having never tried Soap and Glory skincare but loving their body products I thought I'd give them a go.

The Scrub...
I am in love with this scrub. It's abrasive, smells good and leaves your skin feeling fresh and soft. What more could you want? I tend to get a lot of dryness around my nose which is difficult to budge with just a moisturiser, after using this scrub for around a week my skin is nowhere near as dry, and looks much fresher.

The Moisturiser...
A very light feeling moisturiser, smells like fresh peaches and in my opinion is perfect for this time of year and great for a boost. It absorbs nicely, leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated and I just love it. (My boyfriend also likes this!)

Both great products, combined they are making my skin a much happier place.
I actually look forward to using these daily!

Another Beauty Haul

Hello lovelies!
Welcome back, excuse my absence lately, I've been super busy, will be posting some updates on my personal blog soon!

Anywho... in my absence I've definitely been making up for it in terms of shopping... and lots of it. As my skin has been a bit of a lost cause lately, I decided to try to completely revamp my skincare routine and pick up a few bits to help out in that department as well as a few make up bits and body products.
I picked up the Bioderma in my local pharmacy, they stock all sizes but I opted for a small one just to test it and see what I thought before splashing out on a full size.
The Hydraluron is a repurchase, everything else is new.

Goodbye Dry...

It's safe to say I have dry skin all year round, not just in the winter.
This can sometimes be quite annoying, trying to find the right products to banish my dry skin is difficult and I'm often left disappointed.
However, recently my skin has been feeling slightly better, and I think it may be down to these products.

For my body I've been using the Vaseline Spray & Go body moisturiser, this is perfect if you're quite lazy (like me) when it comes to moisturising your body. It's quick and easy and doesn't leave you waiting around for it to dry so you can put your clothes back on. You can literally just spray this straight on to your skin give it a quick rub and be out the door. It smells pretty good too!

When it comes to my hands I kind of neglect them. Although I've heard your hands are one thing that ages first (which terrifies me) I just don't moisturise my hands as much as I should. However, when I do I like to use the very famous Hand Food by Soap and Glory, I'm not huge on the smell like everybody else is but I can't deny this being a really nice product, it absorbs quickly and keeps your hands feeling soft.

I've always battled with chapped lips, I've tried everything from balls, to scrubs to the old toothbrush trick, but I find it all to be kinda temporary. However I've recently discovered this Blistex Intensive Moisturiser and it may just be my new holy frail lip balm. Since buying it and I literally have not had a problem with my lips at all. I apply this 2-3 times a day and really like it. It is very mentholy if you don't like that then be warned, but other than that it's a really great product.

My face is probably my biggest issue, I have moisturised my face everyday since I have known how to, I moisturise and prime my face every morning before applying my foundation to give my make up a nicer surface to sit on. I'm not sure if this Garnier Moisture Match moisturiser is 'the one' but it's a winner so far, I still don't find it to be perfect but it's better than most that I've tried.

So that's what's been keeping my dry skin at bay in the colder months and my skin is thankful. Do you have any holy frail moisturisers?
