What's on my night stand?

One thing you may not know about me, is that I'm a very sleepy person. Once I'm tired and in bed, there is no moving me, I am going to sleep.
This however, can be a problem when it comes to my night time beauty regime.
One trick I've learnt is by keeping everything right next to my bed really does help! It not only encourages me to use the products, like eye cream and body butter, but it's also great for when I'm feeling lazy.

I tend to shower at night time anyway, so I clean my face in the shower, but then once in bed I use these products to help my skin over night so I can go straight to sleep and not have to worry about forgetting to moisturise.

Firstly, as I'm prone to very dry skin, especially in Winter, I use the No 7 Brightening Night Cream on my face. This is quite heavier than the typical day moisturiser so I like to apply quite a bit to my face before I sleep to let it absorb through the night.

Then a recent purchase of mine is the Body Shop's Cranberry Joy Body Butter
I am really bad when it comes to moisturising my body. I am very lazy and can never really be bothered to do it. So I bought this to keep next to my bed so I will have no excuse but to use it every single night. It smells amazing too!

For lips I pulled out an old favourite, I have a stash of these in my make up drawer because I used to love them. They are the Marks and Spencer's lip balms, you can pick them up near the counter at M&S and I love them. They are super moisturising and great for applying before bed.

Lastly is an eye cream. (Excuse the gross packaging, this is an oldie too).
I never really apply eye cream. I know I'll regret that in the future but for me it just never seem necessary. However, I am aware of the importance of it, so I have put this Balance Me, Wonder Eye Cream next to my bed so at least I'm getting some use out of it.

So that's it. I have found this definitely helps me use these products more and I know I will thank myself in the long run for it.

  1. That brightening cream is intriguing. I may have to try that as my oily skin gets dryer this time of year!
