January Favourites

Sanctuary Spa |  2 Day Moisture Shower Oil
I bought this last month whilst browsing the aisles of Boots and fell in love. It's such a luxury feeling product, it smells great and it feels great! I have been obsessed with it this month!

Laura Mercier  | Palette for Eyes, Cheeks & Lips
Another Christmas present from my boyfriend, that I have been using and loving everyday since I got it. The eyeshadows, lipgloss and blushes are all perfect for everyday use and the small packaging makes it great for travel.

Maybelline Colour Drama | Minimalist
I've had this for a while now, but this month I've found myself reaching for it more than ever. It's the perfect matte nude colour, that looks amazing on. It's the perfect 'my lips but better' colour that goes with every kind of make up look.

Charles Worthington | Texturising Spray
I've recently repurchased this after my previous can ran out, and have rekindled my love for it. In the winter I tend to straighten my hair a lot more and it has a tendency to fall flat quite often, this product is truly great if you are having a flat hair day, it gives you a great boost and just adds much more volume to your hair.

Rimmel | Matte BB Cream
I've recently done a post all about why I love this and it's definitely been on my face for the majority of this month. It's a great product for evening out your skin tone and just adding a light base for your make up.

The Body Shop | Vitamin C Skin Boost
Again, I've done a recent post about why I love this and have used it daily since I got it and my skin has been loving it. Definitely going to be something I'll continue to repurchase.

Marc Jacobs | Daisy Dream
I love all of Marc Jacobs' fragrances, but this one has been my most recent love. I'd definitely say it's much more of a spring/summer fragrance, but I've been using it constantly nonetheless. It's the perfect amount of girly without being too sweet or floral and I am obsessed with it. Also, look at that packaging!

What have you been loving this month?

Maybelline Baby Skin

If you saw my last haul post you may have spotted this amongst the stash of beauty products.
I first spotted Baby Skin about a month ago on shelves but thought I'd wait to read a few reviews before getting my hands on it.
Before I begin I'll state that I haven't tried the Benefit Porefessional Primer so I can't draw a comparison, as I've seen many people saying that this is a 'dupe' for that.

Baby Skin claims to be a primer that also erases pores and leaves your skin looking smooth.

I've used this a few times now and I will say it didn't do much for my pores, they looked slightly better but that could be due to my foundation also.
I also noticed that this product is very slippery, I had read this on reviews and was weary of this ans upon using it I didn't like that about it, it makes applying make up slightly difficult and makes me look shinier than I'd like but that can be fixed with a bit of powder.

Negatives aside I did like the consistency of this, I have very dry skin and silicone consistency's tend to sit better on my skin and not cling to any dry patches.

I did notice also that it did make my make up last longer, I use primers a lot just because I have a tendency to rub my face a lot so make up doesn't tend to last on me and while I feel like most primers only really make a nice base from my make up to sit on, I never really notice a difference in the longevity, which is something I do like about this product.

Overall this product is a hit for me, I feel like the positives outweigh the negatives and for £7.99 I do feel like it does the job of a good primer as well making your skin feel much smoother.

Have you tried this yet? What are your thoughts?

Charles Worthington Texturising Spray

After hearing a lot of hype around this product and it being named the 'Oribe Texturising Spray', I knew I had to give it a go.
After trying and testing it for a few days I can now report back my thoughts on this product.
Firstly, it does give volume, it adds a lot of texture to your hair which I can't really complain about.
However, in my opinion this product feels a lot like hairspray, it smells like hairspray and it feels a lot like it whilst in my hair which I'm personally not a huge fan of seems I'm not really a hair product user. This is also an issue as it leaves me wanting to wash my hair straight away which is not great if you're using this production a daily basis.

My final thoughts: if you don't mind a lot of product in your hair and you're used to that then I highly recommend this if you're looking for voluminous hair. However if you're like me and not really used to too much product and like your hair to feel clean constantly, then I'd probably steer clear.
As for it being a Oribe dupe, I can't comment as I haven't tried the latter, but it does do what it says on the tin and for a fraction of the price, it's worth a try.
