The Beauty Scenario Tag

1. You have to get rid of all of your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
For drugstore I would definitely have to choose the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation, I have loved this foundation for about a year and a half and I reach for it constantly, it has a gorgeous dewy, radiant finish and the lasting power is great for a high street foundation.
For high end I would have to choose Mac Face and Body foundation, I bought this last summer and I fell in love. It's the perfect low coverage foundation that looks perfect for both every day and evening make up, the consistency makes it easy to blend and the finish is lovely.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
I would definitely ignore it completely! I'm rubbish at confrontation and would hate to embarrass her because if I did she probably wouldn't want to face me again, and therefore wouldn't hire me.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up.
Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
I would go for the Bella Pierre Cosmetics lipstick in Ruby, it is probably my favourite red lipstick in my whole collection, and who doesn't feel instantly glam when wearing a red lip?
It's a gorgeous colour and lasts all night long without any touch ups.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and make up differently?
I'm gonna say that I go back to my 13-16 year old self rather than my later teens as I'm only 22.
In terms of hair in my early teens I would definitely not try to rock the slicked back pony tail with the two strands of hair! Or the scrunched with mousse curly hair! Ew!
In terms of make up I barely wore any, when I was 14 I stopped wearing foundation for a whole year and started to moisturise every single day so I can't remember any really bad make up days!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hait cut, but they hear you wrong and give you a pixi cut.
Do you:
A) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mom hysterical
B) Cry in the chair and things get awkward
C) Complain to the manager and demand a refund
Eek! Kind of a bit of all three, except for the demanding a refund part. I would probably awkwardly smile and politely tell them that it wasn't what I asked for and then go home and cry and probably invest in extensions!

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have one hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your make up bag?
I would probably go for my Laura Mercier Palette for Eyes, Cheeks and Lips.
It's such a wearable compact palate, and other than foundation, eyeliner and mascara I would happily only take this with me. The lip colour is gorgeous, the 4 eyeshadow shades can create both a day time and an evening look and the blushes are beautiful! What more could I need!?

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?
This question was really difficult! As I love everything, however, only a few products have sentimental value, the Naked 2 palette being one of them. It's something I've wanted for so long but have never really plucked up the courage to purchase it for myself, however, my mom got it for me for my 22nd birthday and I am obsessed. The colours are gorgeous, and so long lasting and pigmented, I am in love.

8. Your friend borrows your make up and returns it in awful condition.
Do you:
A) Just pretend you haven't noticed
B) Ask them to repurchase it
C) Secretly do the same to something of theirs
It would definitely depend on the extent of the damage and how much I liked the product, I would never ask them to repurchase it or do the same to theirs, but if the damage was really bad and it was an expensive or valuable product I would probably politely tell mention it.

Thanks so much for reading guys, I hope you're all having a great Sunday, feel free to do this Tag too!

MAC Face and Body Foundation

I am shade C1

This post has been a long time coming, I've had this little beauty for a while now and find myself reaching for it so much.
I had heard so many good things about it, it's a light coverage foundation that can be built up to be more medium.
It's quite watery so a little goes a long way, but the finish is just beautiful, it doesn't look like you have anything on your face at all, it just gives you a perfect even base.
I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I think it looks so natural and flawless.

I have dry skin and this works beautifully for me, I think it would be great for all skin types if you are in to light coverage foundations then I would definitely recommend this, I think it was less than £20 too, which is great for a high end foundation!

I will definitely be repurchasing.

August Favourites

It's that time of the month again, time to share with you all a few bits and bobs that I have been reaching for throughout August. I haven't really tried too many new things this month just because I haven't been spending a huge amount due to moving house. I've been more so rediscovering older products in my stash than buying new ones.

17 Shimmer Brick Bronzer
Resembling the oh so famous Bobbi Brown one, I have had this product for a very long time (it might not even be okay to use, oops) but this is a product that never fails me in the summer, I find myself reaching for it time after time again. It's shimmery but not glittery, it gives you that perfect summer bronzed glow that I love.

Maybelline Brow Drama
I'm almost certain that I've mentioned this on here before; but for those days when you really don't fancy plastering on a lot of make up this is perfect. It gives your eyebrows more shape and a bit of colour without the burden of having to spend a huge amount of time on them.

Elizabeth Arden Intensive Daily Moisturiser
As I've said time and time again, I love discovering new moisturisers, this one did not disappoint. I got this miniature in a set last Christmas and only recently rediscovered it in my stash. It's quite lightweight on my skin and absorbs quite quickly, it doesn't feel sticky and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. It also had SPF which is an added bonus.

MAC Syrup
Another oldie but goody. Probably becoming one of my most used lipsticks. It's just beautiful.

Balance Me, Wonder Eye Cream
Quite an old one yet again, but this stuff is great, especially for those mornings when you haven't had quite as much sleep as you'd like. It's quite cooling and soothing and eye creams obviously prevent wrinkles, so there's that.

And that's about it, not too exciting but there great products.
What have you been loving?
Happy September.

The Lip Product Addict Tag!

1. Favourite balm/treatment
Blistex Intensive Moisturiser, it's my go to product when things get kinda bad, you can really feel it working, it has SPF and it's super affordable too!

2. Best eye-catching red?
It's the perfect go-to red for any occasion, it also has a great lasting power for a drugstore lipstick.

3. Best luxury and best drugstore?
Eek, best luxury is difficult, I love MAC lipsticks and also the Clinique Long Last Lipsticks are great!
As for drugstore, I love anything by Revlon and as for single lipstick it would have to be the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Vintage Pink.

4. Best MAC lipstick?
Syrup. Definitely.

5. The most dissapointing?
I'm not sure if I've touched on this in a post yet, but the Maybelline, Colour Sensational Popsticks. They resemble something you used to get free in a magazine of a child. Awful products.

6. Liner - yes or no?
I love liner on other people (if they wear it right), I just haven't personally experimented enough with it to make it work for me.

7. Best gloss?
I can't choose a specific colour, but my favourite line of glosses is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip glosses, the formula, the colours, the price, they're great!

8. Something extra?
I can't do a lip product post without mentioning my favourite products of all, the Revlon Lip Butters, I've raved about them for a long time now, but they're still great. A lot of bigger brands keep bringing out similar products but I can't find any that compare. The colour range, the pigmentation and the formula are brilliant! My favourite being Berry Smoothie.

May Favourites!

Hi! So it's been a while since I've done a monthly favourites post, it was difficult narrowing this down to just a few as there's been so many that I've been loving lately.
These are the ones I've been using almost, if not then every day for a while.
Enjoy.

The Body Shop - Camomile Cleansing Oil
The quickest and most fool proof way to remove your male up, even eye make up.
Perfect for lazy people like me, doesn't make your skin feel greasy and does the job. Cheap and cheerful too. What's not to love?

Real Techniques Buffing Brush
After using the Expert Face Brush to apply foundation for as long as I can remember, the Buffing Brush came as such a pleasant surprise. Blends and buffs foundation in perfectly, also great for pressing on powder. Dreamy.

MAC Face and Body Foundation
A foundation I have wanted for a long time and heard countless rave reviews. I was not disappointed. The perfect go to foundation. Blends like a dream, glides on, does not cling to dry patches, looks natural, I could go on. I haven't used anything else since buying it. I am in love.

The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Body Butter
We all know how great the Body Shop body butters are, the scents and the actual moisturiser itself. The smell of this one though is incredible. Think Fromage Frais? I could sniff this all day. Probably one of my favourites so far.

Benefit Coralista Lipgloss
I got this as a sample size a while ago and kinda forgot about it until recently, I have found myself reaching for it more and more. It's the perfect glossy natural lip, it has a hint of coral and also looks great layered with my orange or coral lipsticks. It also smells great.

Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray
Speaking of scents, this scent is also lovely, I get a lot of hair smelling compliments when I spray this in my hair. I also love how easy and quick it is to use, I've always been fairly lazy when it comes to heat defence, but this has made it a two second job, and for that, me and my hair are grateful.

New MAC Lipsticks

Mac Syrup & Coral Bliss (L-R)

Since my first MAC purchases around a year ago, I haven't been able to help myself occasionally to a few bits and bobs from time to time and living so close to a MAC store certainly doesn't help!
I recently popped in for a browse and came out with these two beauties!
Syrup is a shade I'd had my sights on for a while, a perfect every day neutral colour that looks perfect on my pale skin tone. Coral Bliss was much more of an impulse buy but just as beautiful nonetheless, I'm sure this will be my go-to shade throughout summer.

Mac Creme Cup

Firstly let me just say, I don't know why it's took me this long to jump on the bandwagon with this! I've been looking for the perfect nude lip for what feels like forever! I've seen swatch after swatch and review after review of Creme Cup and I finally took the plunge and added it to my ever growing lipstick collection and I can safely say, I'm in love.

I feel like it's the perfect pink nude that looks great on everyone (so I've seen). The consistency and pigmentation is lovely just like all MAC lipsticks, this colour is great for day and night and very wearable. I think everybody needs this shade in their collection and I will definitley be re-purchasing!

Mini Mac Haul

As of last week I was a MAC virgin.
I've tried many high make up brands, including Chanel, YSL and Clinique, but I've never had a MAC store anywhere near me and when I do go past one I never really have time to venture in.

However, while out for lunch on Kings Road on Sunday I spotted MAC and thought I'd pop in and have a look round.
I very, nearly bought the whole shop! But I limited myself to three things, and without further ado, my first MAC purchases...

MAC Cleanse off oil - (travel size) £7.50
I picked this up as I was about to pay, I opted for the travel size as I thought I'd give it a try before getting the full size. I used it the following night and my skin had never felt so smooth and clean! Will most likely be popping back soon to purchase the full size.

MAC - Studio Fix Fluid - £20.50
I've almost ran out of my current foundation and having heard several people rave about this product, I decided to give it a go. I'm yet to try it, but perhaps a review will be coming soon.

MAC lipstick - Hot Gossip - £14.00
As a lipstick fanatic of course I wanted almost all of them (and trust me, I will be returning regularly to build my collection) but to start with, I wanted something wearable and that I knew I would love. The colour is very similar to one of my current favourites by Rimmel (Vintage Pink), so I knew I had to get it.

I may go back next week and pick up some more treats, are there any great and famous MAC products you'd recommend?
