December Favourites

Ah it´s been a while since I did a favourites post. To be honest I haven´t really had time to try out too many products throughout 2015 in general, but the few that I have I have narrowed down to my favourites, with a couple of random ones thrown in there too.

Twinings - Camomile & Spiced Apple Tea
My friend recommended this to me and I have drank it almost everyday since (even in the morning). I love Camomile tea in general, it makes me feel sleepy and I love the taste, but this one has a little hint of apple to it which is perfect for the Winter. I love it!

Ren Morrocan Rose Sugar Body Polish
I have fairly dry skin anyway, especially in the winter and as much as I love the Sancutuary Spa Salt Scrub I decided to mix it up a little bit with a sugar scrub. I´ve been really enjoying using this before baths and my skin is thanking me. As much as I don´t like the scent (roses) I have been liking this product a lot the past few weeks.

Nars Iberico Lip Pencil
This was for sure my most use lip product throughout December, it´s such a fun orangey red that is just perfect for the party season. It also looks great on pale or tanned skin.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
I know I´m a little late on the bandwagon for this, but what a game changer! I can´t believe it´s taken me so long to convert. This is so perfect for blending and building foundation and I have used it everyday since purchasing it in early December. Definitely worth the hype!

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation
I recently ran out of my everyday foundation (MAC Face and Body) and wanted something still quite light and fresh looking on my skin for the winter. I had read a couple of reviews about this and decided to give it a go. I´ve loved Bourjois´foundations for a while and this was no exception. It´s very lightweight on the skin and just gives a nice even finish without looking cakey or dry. I really like this.

Caroline Kepnes - You
I read a lot of books in 2015, and this one I read twice. It is one of the best, if not the best book I have read. I absoluetly loved the writing style, the characters and the plot. I wouldn´t recommend it for a young audience or a squeamish audience, but if you´re into thrillers and don´t mind reading something a little bit dark then I highly recommend this book. The sequel is out this month and I am so excited!

October Favourites!

Happy Halloween!
I'm quite excited for this months favourites because lately I've been trying out lots of new products, and I've been liking a lot of things, however, I've managed to narrow down that list to things that I've truly been loving this month and using on a daily basis.
Here goes...

Sleek 'Rose Gold' Blush
I'm almost certain this has featured in a favourites post before but I have recently rediscovered my love for it. It is literally autumn and winter in a blush, the perfect shade with a hint of glitter (who doesn't want glitter on their cheeks in the Christmas season?!)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
Another old favourite, I'm pretty sure I rediscovered/raved about this product last year, I bought it as my 'summer foundation' and when winter came around it was no longer summer I found myself needing to have it again. I popped to Boots, got a lighter shade and alas, it hasn't left my face since.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream
Weird fact about me, I'm very fussy when it comes to perfume. However, Marc Jacobs has never released a perfume that I didn't love, Daisy being my ultimate favourite. So when Daisy Dream was released in the cutest bottle ever, I knew it had to be mine.

So Susan Flutter Mascara
I received this product in a Glossy Box not too long ago and have fell in love. The packaging, the wand, the lasting power; it's brilliant. As the name suggests, it gives you very fluttery eyelashes, so if you prefer more full, big lashes then this may not be for you. But for me it is the perfect day to day mascara.

Bourjois Mega Liner
As I've mentioned previously on here, I'm quite a newbie to liquid liner therefore I tend to stick to the easy application ones. The easiest ones I have found are the felt tip ones. I used to use the Rimmel Scandaleyes ones great, but they dry out so quickly! This one has been my new 'go-to', it's super black and lasts all day as well as being much easier to apply than most others.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
The perfect fuss free concealer. Coverage, easy application and lasting power. What more could you ask for in a concealer?

The Body Shop Vitamin E, Overnight Serum-In-Oil
After reading such good reviews about this online I decided it was about time I purchased it. I've loved The Body Shop for years and this one hasn't let me down. I apply it before bed and wake up with my skin feeling hydrated and feeling soft. I'm sure over time my skin will continue to thank me for using this.

August Favourites

It's that time of the month again, time to share with you all a few bits and bobs that I have been reaching for throughout August. I haven't really tried too many new things this month just because I haven't been spending a huge amount due to moving house. I've been more so rediscovering older products in my stash than buying new ones.

17 Shimmer Brick Bronzer
Resembling the oh so famous Bobbi Brown one, I have had this product for a very long time (it might not even be okay to use, oops) but this is a product that never fails me in the summer, I find myself reaching for it time after time again. It's shimmery but not glittery, it gives you that perfect summer bronzed glow that I love.

Maybelline Brow Drama
I'm almost certain that I've mentioned this on here before; but for those days when you really don't fancy plastering on a lot of make up this is perfect. It gives your eyebrows more shape and a bit of colour without the burden of having to spend a huge amount of time on them.

Elizabeth Arden Intensive Daily Moisturiser
As I've said time and time again, I love discovering new moisturisers, this one did not disappoint. I got this miniature in a set last Christmas and only recently rediscovered it in my stash. It's quite lightweight on my skin and absorbs quite quickly, it doesn't feel sticky and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. It also had SPF which is an added bonus.

MAC Syrup
Another oldie but goody. Probably becoming one of my most used lipsticks. It's just beautiful.

Balance Me, Wonder Eye Cream
Quite an old one yet again, but this stuff is great, especially for those mornings when you haven't had quite as much sleep as you'd like. It's quite cooling and soothing and eye creams obviously prevent wrinkles, so there's that.

And that's about it, not too exciting but there great products.
What have you been loving?
Happy September.

The Lip Product Addict Tag!

1. Favourite balm/treatment
Blistex Intensive Moisturiser, it's my go to product when things get kinda bad, you can really feel it working, it has SPF and it's super affordable too!

2. Best eye-catching red?
It's the perfect go-to red for any occasion, it also has a great lasting power for a drugstore lipstick.

3. Best luxury and best drugstore?
Eek, best luxury is difficult, I love MAC lipsticks and also the Clinique Long Last Lipsticks are great!
As for drugstore, I love anything by Revlon and as for single lipstick it would have to be the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Vintage Pink.

4. Best MAC lipstick?
Syrup. Definitely.

5. The most dissapointing?
I'm not sure if I've touched on this in a post yet, but the Maybelline, Colour Sensational Popsticks. They resemble something you used to get free in a magazine of a child. Awful products.

6. Liner - yes or no?
I love liner on other people (if they wear it right), I just haven't personally experimented enough with it to make it work for me.

7. Best gloss?
I can't choose a specific colour, but my favourite line of glosses is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip glosses, the formula, the colours, the price, they're great!

8. Something extra?
I can't do a lip product post without mentioning my favourite products of all, the Revlon Lip Butters, I've raved about them for a long time now, but they're still great. A lot of bigger brands keep bringing out similar products but I can't find any that compare. The colour range, the pigmentation and the formula are brilliant! My favourite being Berry Smoothie.

Soap and Glory Skincare

One thing I am constantly on the hunt for is good skincare... I feel like no matter how much water I drink or how much I moisturise my skin it's still super dry... so whilst in Boots the other day I spotted these little beauties.
Soap and Glory Scrubatomic and 365 For Daily Youth, a face scrub and a moisturiser.

Having never tried Soap and Glory skincare but loving their body products I thought I'd give them a go.

The Scrub...
I am in love with this scrub. It's abrasive, smells good and leaves your skin feeling fresh and soft. What more could you want? I tend to get a lot of dryness around my nose which is difficult to budge with just a moisturiser, after using this scrub for around a week my skin is nowhere near as dry, and looks much fresher.

The Moisturiser...
A very light feeling moisturiser, smells like fresh peaches and in my opinion is perfect for this time of year and great for a boost. It absorbs nicely, leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated and I just love it. (My boyfriend also likes this!)

Both great products, combined they are making my skin a much happier place.
I actually look forward to using these daily!

January Favourites!

Hello again!
It's that time of the month again where I tell you a few things I've been loving this month!
I haven't been using too many products through the month of January so there's not a whole lot beauty wise, however I have a few non-beauty favourites which will be up in a post on my other blog! So keep your eyeballs peeled.

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden - Salt Scrub
A very recent purchase but a great one! I will be posting a review on this soon, probably the best scrub I have ever used.

Natural Collection Vanilla Body Spray
When I was younger I used this stuff all the time! At £1.99 you really can't go wrong, lovely scent that I have been wearing pretty much every day throughout January.

Hydraluron
I did a whole post on this product not long ago, I have found myself reaching for this daily as I find it a brilliant base for my make up.

Rimmel - Not an Illusion
You can tell by the scratched off writing on this that I carry this with me daily, such an easy to wear lipstick, I absolutely love it.

Elizabeth Arden Lip Protectant
I received this in an Elizabeth Arden gift set at Christmas and have used it pretty much everyday, it's super hydrating and feel lovely on the lips, perfect for the colder months.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
I think I've raved about this foundation quite a bit, but it really is wonderful. It feels super light and nice on the skin but has a gorgeous coverage and is easy to work with. What more could you want?

5 Most Worn Lipsticks

When it comes to make up, I definitely favour lipstick.
I own more than enough to last me a lifetime. I like to mix my lip colour up daily, depending on my mood. However I do feel myself reaching for five lipsticks in particular more than the rest.
Here they are...

The first one being the Revlon Lip Butter in 050 Berry Smoothie. This product is so easy to wear as are all of the lip butters as you can use them as just a sheer tinted lip balm and really build them up to be a quite pigmented glossy lip. This colour in particular often finds itself being reached for due to the gorgeous colour, it really does look great on.

Secondly one that was on my wish list for such a long time but was always sold out is Revlon 420 Blushed.  This is such a perfect nude colour, this type of brown nude really suits my pale skin, and of course the Revlon Lipstick line is just great in general for pigmentation, moisture and they are long lasting.

Probably my most worn out of all five is Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 180 Vintage Pink, this has earned quite a few mentions on my blog over time and for good reason. The shade is perfect. It's perfect for everyday wear, it's kind of a purple nude colour that looks great on! The formula is so nice on the lips and I just can't fault this lipstick.

Again with Rimmel, another great neutral, everyday colour is Not an Illusion, I've had this for quite a long time now and I use it a lot! The colour is gorgeous and glides on to the lips , but I love the lip crayon packaging and the vanilla scent too!

Lastly is yet another Revlon one, this is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain - 001Honey. I've had this a long time and again I find myself reaching for it a lot. It's a very easy to wear natural pink, this range have a nice peppermint kinda feel to the lips which I like, and the colour is great for everyday natural make up.

(Left to right, Berry Smoothie, Blushed, Vintage Pink, Not an Illusion, Honey)

As much as I love bright lips I think I'm definitely a natural lip girl for everyday where, I wear all of these more than any others in my collection and I would highly recommend all of them.

Let me know your favourite lip sticks?
I'm always on the hunt for more.

November Favourites!

Sleek Blusher - Pixie Pink
The rosier the cheeks the better this time of year, I'm a huge fan of minimal make up with a flush of colour on the cheeks and a berry lip. Perfect

Laura Mercier Hand Cream - Almond and Coconut Milk
The nicest scented hand cream ever. Without a doubt. And perfect in the cold weather.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Crush
This has been on my lips pretty much through the length of Autumn.

Necklace - Peacocks
I've been wearing a lot of black lately, so statement necklaces have been my 'go to' to jazz up my outfits.

Revlon Lip Butter - Berry Smoothie
The perfect everyday lip. Looks even better on pale skin.

Yankee Candles - Cinnamon Stick
Of course, nothing says Christmas quite like a cinnamon scented candle.

Victoria's Secret Body Spray - Red Plum & Fresia
I've worn this so much the past month, fruity, girly and kinda wintery at the same time.

Tresemme Oil Elixir
My hairs new best friend.

Scandaleyes Thick and Thin Liner - Black Noir
My eyes' new best friend.

 Blistex Intensive Moisturizer
Dry lips be gone. This is getting me through the colder months with ease.

OPI - Casino Royale
This kind of colour has been on my nails constantly, along with Essie - Foot Loose. Love.
